  • A Hunger to fish!  

  • Valid Ohio Fishing License

  • Soft sole shoes - Boat shoes or Tennis shoes

  • Proper clothing for rain or cold weather (see Clothing Tips below)

  • Bring a lunch & beverages - NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED!
  • Make sure to bring some water!
  • Please try to keep this to one cooler - Smaller the better (soft side preferred)

  • Sea Sickness (motion sickness) medication (if needed)





  • Sunglasses, Hat & Suntan Lotion

  • Cooler & Ice to take your catch home   (please leave your cooler in your car)

  • Don’t forget your camera!

  • This  is nothing to be embarrassed about, but it can spoil your trip and the trip for other
    people aboard.
  • If you feel this may be a concern, please contact your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the
    use of sea (motion) sickness pills
Clothing Tips
Extra Clothes (Spring & Early Summer)
  • Always dress for temperatures much lower than anticipated
  • The lake water temperature may be 20-30 degrees lower than the air temperature at home
  • Once you are on the water, you will be exposed to air temperatures much lower than on shore
  • Make sure to bring extra clothes so you stay warm!

Rain Suit
  • Make sure to bring a rain suit in case the weather turns bad
  • Once you are wet, especially on cold days, your day will be miserable
  • On cold & windy days, a rain suite can also act as a wind breaker
